BRAZOS VALLEY, Texas (KBTX) – Brothers at White Chapel Inc.A Brazos Valley nonprofit is working to raise money for two new prison chapel buildings in the area.

The Brothers in White Chapel was founded about three years ago by a group of men working in prison ministry.

“(We) saw the need for chapels in the prisons where we worked,” George Faulkner said. “So we started this group to build the chapels and to enable and encourage more incarcerated men to become involved in a faith-based program.”

The group plans to build chapels in two units at prisons near Navasota.

“The State of Texas has assured us that it will accommodate us in the two units where we work; Pat and Luther,” added James Conley. “The state said, ‘You take the money, the funds, build these, and we will find a place for you.’”
