VANCOUVER, Wash. (KATU) — Vancouver police said one person was killed and two others were injured in a shooting at the Vancouver Mall on Thursday night.

Police said there is no longer an active threat inside the mall and officers are contacting people sheltering in the area.

Police reported that the injured were taken to hospital.

Police are asking people to avoid the area.

Police said there is a reunion area for those separated from others outside the Hobby Lobby. Police said anyone still in the mall was free to exit through any open exit.
