HILLSBORO, Ohio — A series of eviction lawsuits in Southern Ohio threaten the future of several Frisch’s Big Boy restaurants; An eviction hearing is scheduled for Nov. 13 at the Hillsboro location on North High Street. Ongoing legal issues that have led to evacuation orders for many Frisch’s locations.

On October 30, a court ordered six Frisch-owned locations to vacate their properties within seven days. These include the Bridgetown Road location in Cheviot, the Montgomery Road location in Norwood, Delhi Pike in Delhi, Plainfield Road in Blue Ash, Colerain Avenue in Colerain and the Mason Montgomery Road location in Symmes Township. Meanwhile, other locations, including the Beechmont Avenue area in Anderson Township, North Bend Road in Monfort Heights, Stone Drive in Harrison and Chase Plaza in Forest Park, face pending eviction hearings in early November.

Other locations awaiting decisions include the Germantown Road Frisch’s in Middletown (Nov. 5), the Dixie Highway location in Fairfield (Nov. 12) and Hillsboro’s own North High Street location (Nov. 13). An eviction hearing for the Winemiller Lane restaurant is also scheduled for Nov. 20. Court-ordered evacuations have already been issued in Loveland and Bethel, but both restaurants remain open as of now.

The upcoming evictions leave the future uncertain for Frisch’s staff and customers in Hillsboro and surrounding areas, as these closures could significantly impact employees, regular customers, and the local dining scene.
