Choose October Actress of the Month | News

Voting is now open to determine October’s Female Performer of the Month.

There are four nominees to choose from, but who was your standout artist? Read on to learn about our candidates and how to vote.

MARIONA CALDENTEY

Mariona Caldentey, who scored three goals in October, became our top scorer this month. His fine volley in Munich gave us the lead against the German champions on a night we will at first forget, before his masterful display at the Emirates Stadium in the Champions League earned him the Player of the Match award.

In the match against Valerenga, Mariona scored her third goal of the night and made a great assist to Alessia Russo. She then capped October with a fine penalty and scored the opener against West Ham United, her first goal in the Women’s Super League.

CAITLIN FOOD

Caitlin’s superb start to the season has already earned her September Player of the Month honors and she has only continued that form in October. The Australian winger added two more goals, bringing his tally to six so far; The pick of the bunch came against Chelsea with a superb solo effort.

With only Lucy Bronze at her side, Caitlin took the Chelsea right-back with her quick footwork and curled the ball beautifully past Hannah Hampton from an almost impossible angle.

EMILY FOX

Known for her tight defensive work and blistering speed, it’s Emily Fox’s turn to get on the scoresheet this month. His close-range finish just two minutes after coming on against Valerenga was his first goal for the club.

Elsewhere, he has remained an almost constant presence on the pitch, playing the full 90 minutes in four of the five matches this month.

LIA WALTI

Lia Walti, our mainstay in midfield, has been quietly and consistently excellent in October. The Swiss captain produced a series of strong performances in protecting the backline, pushing the game forward and contributing to the attack.

She also reached a milestone this month, making her 100th appearance in the Women’s Super League in the 2-0 win over West Ham.
