GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Jaxson Byl’s first high school penalty kick was one he will remember for the rest of his life.

With his team’s season and berth in the Division 2 boys soccer state championship game on the line, the Forest Hills Northern junior took four steps and drilled a shot into the middle of the goal to give the Huskies a 2-1 shootout victory over his rival. Grand Rapids Christian is in the state semifinals Wednesday at Forest Hills Central High School.
