Here’s what Drew can do to save his political campaign on General Hospital:

General Hospital’s secret revealed. Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) accepted to Michael Corinthos (temporarily played by Robert Adamson) said he kissed Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen). He had no choice because he ended up in a bar fight with a drunk Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), who let it slip that Drew kissed Willow and also slept with her mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

Drew’s run for Congress is problematic at the moment as the news will spread quickly, but there is something he should have done from the very beginning to help him win.

An ace up your sleeve

Even until recently, whenever Willow talked about Drew with googly eyes, she talked about him saving her life. He talks about needing a bone marrow transplant while suffering from leukemia and Dr. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) It was a perfect match. However, Obrecht was kidnapped by the villain Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). implemented his evil plan to release a pathogen that would kill 80% of the world’s human population.

Fortunately, a group of heroes from Port Charles led by Laura Collins (Genie Francis) foiled Victor’s plan, Obrecht was rescued, and Willow’s life was saved thanks to the transplant. Drew was part of that team.

So it’s technically true to say Drew saved her life, but it was a group effort and not just Willow but the entire human civilization was saved. This is a trump card Drew needs to use in his political campaign. Everyone in Port Charles seems to have forgotten the fact that they were inches away from death, and it was a team that saved them all.

When the secret of his and Willow’s kiss becomes public, coupled with the fact that he slept with her mother, it will be the death knell of his political career. While the news media will be all over this scandal like ants on a sugar cube, all he has to do is step up to the podium and say:

Yes. That was me. I helped save the world

Drew must tell the story of what happened and all will be forgiven. Of course, he’ll continue to dredge up rival Drew’s dirty laundry, but say this with us:

He saved the world!

This should replace everything else and he will probably accept it for sure. However, what he did to Willow and Nina went completely against his moral standards, and he must re-evaluate his moral compass in order to be the honest politician he claims to be. To that end, his part in saving the world will have a huge impact on anyone looking for an idealist to vote for.
