The NASCAR season is down to its final two races, and all three series will be held this weekend at Martinsville Speedway.

There are two open spots in the Cup Series after Tyler Reddick’s victory at Homestead gave team co-owner Michael Jordan a shot at the race title. Austin Hill and AJ Allmendinger were in the final four of the Xfinity Series, while Grant Emfinger took his second straight victory in the eighth round of the Truck Series.

In a season where many races have been postponed or postponed due to rain, the past month has provided perfect weather for every race and this weekend is no exception. Partly cloudy to sunny weather is expected Friday through Sunday; Highs are expected in the mid-70s on Friday and mid-60s on Saturday and Sunday.

Ryan Blaney won here last fall to advance to the final four of the Cup Series championship, which he did. Blaney led 145 laps for his third win of the season.

Reddick joins two-time series champion Joey Logano in the final four this year. Christopher Bell is the lead driver in the play-off points and William Byron is in position to advance.

2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson sits in first place, seven points behind Hendrick Motorsports teammate Byron. Denny Hamlin, reigning champion Blaney and 2020 series champion Elliott will be the last drivers to qualify for the race at Martinsville.

The Xfinity 500 is set for Sunday afternoon.

The National Debt Relief 250 in the Xfinity Series is set for Saturday afternoon.

Justin Allgaier became the last champion of the race by winning the side-by-side duel with Sheldon Creed by 0.032 seconds in a race that Creed had to win to advance.

Austin Hill raced to his fourth victory of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway with a second-place finish in last week’s Xfinity Series championship finale. Hill passed defending series champion Cole Custer with 12 laps remaining and went on to join AJ Allmendinger in the four-driver championship field at Phoenix.

This is the last chance for the six remaining playoff drivers to advance to the final four. Allgaier and Custer are in the top two places on the way to advancement in terms of points. Chandler Smith sits fifth in the playoff standings, 28 points behind fourth-place Custer.

The rest of the playoff drivers are Jesse Love, Sam Mayer and Sammie Smith. Aric Almirola won the spring race at Martinsville.

The NASCAR Truck Series race, the Zip Buy Now, Pay Later 200, is scheduled for Friday night.

Corey Heim won here last year, leading 82 of 124 laps to win the first race of the 2023 season in his only stop at the Truck Series half-mile track.

Grant Emfinger has won the last two races and is the only racer to qualify for his fourth championship in two weeks at Phoenix. Emfinger’s back-to-back wins mean at least two drivers will move forward with points to compete for the championship. Heim, Christian Eckes and Ty Majeski are in the top three places in the play-off field in terms of points. Majeski has a 22-point lead over Rajah Caruth, who is in fifth place. Other drivers out there are Taylor Gray, Tyler Ankrum and Nick Sanchez.
