HILTON, NY — A man is in custody after a massive overnight search of the Hilton following a burglary and assault.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said they were called to a two-apartment complex around 1 a.m. for family trouble. When deputies arrived, the suspect fled on foot and deputies pursued him using a drone and K-9 unit.

Joseph Ortiz-Serrano is currently facing burglary, strangulation, assault and other charges. There is no information yet on the victim’s condition. We’ve reached out for more information.
