Man killed in motorcycle crash near Las Vegas | Native Nevada

A 57-year-old Las Vegas man was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash earlier this month, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Investigators say Jersom Nolasco Briones, 57, died Oct. 12 after losing control of his 2019 Indian FTR 1200 while traveling southbound on State Route 160, just north of mile marker 22, around 11:12 a.m.

The rollover occurred about 25 miles west of Las Vegas. For unknown reasons, Briones left the road and went into the dirt shoulder. He jumped out after the motorcycle overturned.

Briones was taken to a nearby hospital and later died from his injuries, police said.

Nevada Highway Patrol Southern Command investigated 60 fatal crashes in 2024, resulting in 68 fatalities.
