Former federal health minister Greg Hunt has criticized the Albanian government for trying to shield provinces from an investigation into the COVID-19 pandemic after the investigation reflected his own concerns about unilateral actions by premiers.

Mr Hunt, who has played a key role in the national fight against the epidemic, also criticized the current government for largely evading any sanctions as Covid-19 deaths soared under its watch.
