The identity of the child who died in the schoolyard accident has been revealed

The boy who died in the school accident has been identified as 11-year-old fifth grader Jack Davey.

Photos made public by his family a day after his death show the Auburn South student smiling in his school uniform and holding a puppy.

He was seriously injured and died on his way to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon when a car went over the fence, entered the schoolyard and hit a group of children sitting at the table.

In the incident, two 11-year-old girls, a 10-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy were seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
