I remember my uncle Jack, who described his job as a doctor on the front lines during World War II against fascism in Italy. Jack lived in St. Petersburg until his retirement. She survived a struggle to work as a nurse at the veterans hospital in St. Cloud. Jack had some very sad stories to tell about injured vets.

General/President Dwight D. Eisenhower would have us all fight this MAGA fascism/Christian nationalism Project 2025 plan, which includes MAGA’s decision to embrace Putin. For as long as I can remember, Putin, with Trump’s approval, has now been waging communist-style propaganda against democracies around the world, including America.

Finstad, Dornink, and Bennett want us to join Trump in desecrating our World War II memorial.

Jack fought against the Nazis, Italian fascists and the Japanese. Jack would definitely not embrace Putin’s communism. Trump believes those who died in World War II were “suckers and losers.”

As I have done many times during my walks around the city, I will stop by the World War II memorial.

My prayers are for the martyred heroes.
