Democratic vice presidential candidate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz mocked former President Trump’s age during a rally in Georgia on Tuesday evening.

But the latest analysis from the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB) faulted both Trump and Harris for failing to adequately respond on Social Security.

On her campaign website, Harris promised to protect “Social Security” by ensuring corporations and the wealthiest Americans pay their fair share of taxes, but she doesn’t go into further detail.

“Unfortunately, neither candidate has offered plans to fix Social Security finances despite the $16,500 cut facing the typical couple retiring just before bankruptcy,” the CRFB analysis said.

However, it was predicted that the tax and tariff policies stated by Trump would increase the expected solvency of the program from fiscal year 2034 to fiscal year 2031.

The former president promised to protect Social Security and Medicare during numerous public appearances on the campaign trail. As recently as Monday evening, he told supporters at his own event in Georgia: “I’m the one who’s going to re-strengthen Social Security.”

The evening rally was Walz’s last public stop in Georgia on Tuesday. multiple public events.

Morgan Ackley, the Trump campaign’s Georgia spokeswoman, said of Walz’s daylong swing: “As Kamala Harris says she won’t do anything different than Joe Biden, Tim Walz is campaigning for four more years of unmanaged illegal immigration, sky-high prices, and war.” It is carried out abroad.”
