Atlanta Police Department and SWAT teams made an intervention Georgia A luxury hotel in downtown Atlanta Tuesday afternoon after an armed suspect barricaded himself inside the hotel.

In the statement made, of Atlanta The Police Department said they were investigating a barricaded suspect at the Four Seasons Hotel in Midtown. Reports of gunshots heard.

In the update made at around 16.30, the police reported that the suspect was caught and taken into custody. They did not provide any details about the suspect.

Photos taken by Fox News affiliate WAGA show a large police presence surrounding the hotel’s main entrance.

Authorities said the man was armed, so law enforcement set up a perimeter.

In a statement on social media, the police advised hotel guests to “stay away from windows and rooms overlooking the area.”
