NFL analyst begs Panthers to trade Bryce Young at deadline

Carolina Panthers They almost have one more weekend to figure out what to do with Bryce Young this season. Only problem is, they’re not even sure if they’ll start it next week. The Panthers probably can’t decide if Young is their future or if they need to make money now if he doesn’t play. One NFL analyst thinks there isn’t much of a decision to make and they need to do something right for Young for once.

After an encouraging but underwhelming game against the Broncos, all signs point to Andy Dalton being a solid starter if healthy. Bryce Young threw two touchdowns and two interceptions in his first start, but Dave Canales hasn’t decided who will start. If they’re not sure who to start, they probably don’t see Young as a long-term solution. If that’s the case, Connor Orr He believes the Panthers have a simple choice to make.

“If the Panthers are going to burn it all down again, please give Young a chance to go somewhere else instead of keeping him captive.”

Orr has seen the rampant trade speculation surrounding nearly everyone on the Panthers roster. It would be a surprise to see the Panthers bet on a player they spent so much money on less than two years ago, but if they’re going to cut him, they should at least give Young a chance elsewhere.

The analyst also believes that if the Panthers aren’t going to trade him, their overall deadline schedule needs to change. Cleaning house on offense could be detrimental to Young’s development, so the team must not only keep their offensive trading piece but also add one.

That’s almost certainly off the table, but trading Young is certainly on the table. Time will tell if the Panthers are ready to shoot the bullet just yet or if they still view Young as an option.
