‘This is hard to digest’ – Teammates look away in fear as Utah Jazz star suffers gruesome injury

The NBA season has only been around for less than a week, but unfortunately for Taylor Hendricks, it’s already over.

Striker’s second year Utah Jazz He suffered one of the scariest injuries in recent memory and there were no other players near him.

Hendricks appeared to lose his balance as an offensive running back, tripping and causing his leg to buckle.

Something that seems so routine, so harmless.

But the result was devastating; His right leg was bent in a way no leg should be bent.

Jazz lost Dallas Mavericks110-102, but head coach Will Hardy shrugged off the result and wanted the focus to be on Hendricks.

The 22-year-old suffered a fractured right fibula and a dislocated right ankle.

Hardy was heartbroken after the match for his young player.

“Of course Taylor is the most important thing,” Hardy said. “This is hard to accept.

“He’s put in a lot of effort, he’s a great kid and so we’re really just trying to focus on him, his health, keep his spirits up as he starts the road to recovery.

“These are terrible moments in sports. He has worked hard and deserves an opportunity.”

Keyonte George, who was taken in the same draft as Hendricks and has built a strong relationship with him since, was crushed.

“I was trying to keep it together, but this is more important than basketball,” George said.

“I see him every day and we talk about things other than basketball. It puts me in an emotional state because I know he was the same way for me when I went down (with my ankle injury).

“That’s just my big brother. I didn’t know him growing up, but as I built a relationship with him over the year, he felt like family. I told him I loved him, I told him I was here for him no matter what he needed.”

George not only talked about the personal loss of Hendricks, but also talked about what it would mean to lose him as a member of the rotation.

“You talk about giving something to the team, he was willing to give up his entire offensive game to stop the guy we wanted to stop every night,” George said.

“We always talk about being selfless. “I think so far he’s really giving everything he has to what his job is every night.”

As the horrific image of the injury began to spread online, fans rushed to the scene with their prayers and concerns.

‘Absolutely awful for Taylor. One fan wrote to X: “He is in my thoughts and prayers.” Another fan said: “Prayers, this is such a terrible injury, I still don’t know how this could happen.”

‘The worst thing that can happen to a young player.’ More reactions poured in.

As is normal with a gruesome injury like Hendricks’, a lot of prayer and a lot of sensitive reactions.

Now the long road to recovery begins for Hendricks and hopefully this devastating injury may be just a footnote when all is said and done after a long and successful career.
