Sodus man arrested for DWI and license violations after traffic stop in Williamson

A Sodus man was arrested late Monday night after a traffic stop in Williamson Township led to a DWI investigation, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Deputies stopped Brian P. Hillen, 63, for a traffic violation near State Route 104 and Town Line Road around 11:03 p.m. During the stop, deputies detected the odor of alcohol on Hillen’s breath and administered field sobriety tests, which Hillen failed. Hillen was later arrested and taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office; chemical testing there showed a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.14%.

Hillen faces charges including driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operating and unlicensed driving. He was transported to the Wayne County Jail, where he awaits arraignment in CAP court and is scheduled to appear in Williamson City Court for further proceedings.
