New poll shows where Michigan voters stand in the U.S. Senate race between Elissa Slotkin and Mike Rogers

A week before Election Day, we have an updated poll showing where Michigan voters stand in the U.S. Senate race between Elissa Slotkin and Mike Rogers.

Slotkin has a 3.7% (46.2%-42.5%) lead over Rogers, according to our October 22-24 survey of voters.

While 6.7 percent of voters remained undecided, 4.7 percent of voters chose a third party candidate.

These results are similar to the poll in early October, when Slotkin was ahead by 3.5% (46.8%-43.3%).

Slotkin has a narrow 2.9% lead among independent voters (39.2%-36.3%).

88.7% of Harris voters vote for Slotkin. Rogers has 83.2% of Trump voters.

Slotkin leads women by 20.9% (54.2%-33.3%), while Rogers leads men by 15.3% (52.6%-37.3%).

Among college voters, Slotkin leads by 13.2% (52.4%-39.2%). Rogers leads non-college voters by 2.9% (45%-2%-42.3%).

Specifically, Slotkin leads among unionized households with 11.9% (49.4%-37.5%). Rogers leads the list of non-union households at 44.6%-43.3%.

Survey methodology

This poll was commissioned by WDIV Local 4 News and Detroit News. Glengariff Group, Inc. conducted the statewide survey and included likely general election voters.

A telephone survey was conducted among 600 people between 22 and 24 October 2024. The margin of error for this survey is +/- 4% with a 95% confidence level.

83.2 percent of the survey participants were reached via mobile phone and 16.8 percent via landline phone.
