“My costume is a musician with a guitar, inspired by Day of the Dead. So I thought a lot of little kids want to be pop stars and rock stars, so I decided that’s what they could be for Halloween, but with a spooky twist,” he said.

“I also played electric guitar in a band, so I thought it would be good to include that, too.”

Emma Williams, head manager of Tesco Arena Park in Coventry, said the design was “brilliant” and “all the children loved the costumes”.

Etienne said he would celebrate the success by throwing a Halloween party.

“I was pretty shocked to have the chance to do this because I guess I went in with a really great idea, but I didn’t expect to win it,” he said.
