GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) – Gulfport Police are searching for a wanted man who left the scene of a fatal crash.

Police teams were called to the accident involving two vehicles that occurred at the intersection of Sahil Boulevard and Courthouse Road at 15.05 on October 26.

Police teams arriving at the scene found that one person had died and the other person was taken to a local hospital.

Detectives identified Laquenta Dehayta Quinn as the driver of the vehicle that failed to stop at traffic signals near the intersection and caused the accident.

After the accident, Quinn got out of his vehicle and fled on foot.

Quinn is wanted on one count of leaving the scene of a fatal accident. He is described as a 47-year-old Black male, approximately 5-foot-11 tall and weighing 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
