monday night Dallas Mavericks The game took a scary turn when Utah Jazz forward Taylor Hendricks went down with a serious injury.

Hendricks, the ninth overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, appeared to be slipping away. The freak fall caused an injury serious enough that he was stretchered off the field, and the broadcast did not show a replay out of respect for Hendricks.

According to Tim MacMahon of ESPN, Hendricks suffered a fractured right tibia and ankle dislocation.

While medical personnel tended to Hendricks, staff from both teams rushed onto the field to help cover his leg with a towel.

The nature of the injury caused visible reactions from players nearby at the time of the incident, including PJ Washington. Several Jazz players, including Keyonte George and Walker Kessler, were shaken and emotional.

As Hendricks was being carried off the field, players from both teams came to show support for him.
