Meshel Laurie has weighed in on The Block stars Brad Baker and Mimi Belperio’s shocking ‘dating door’ scandal.

The 51-year-old comedian took to Instagram on Monday night to react to explosive scenes from the makeover show, in which he admitted to ‘flirting’ with Brad’s co-star Mimi.

Brad’s wife Kylie abruptly left the production after hearing her husband made ‘inappropriate’ comments towards Mimi, who was married to contestant Kristian.

Now the former star of The Project Meshel has voiced what everyone is thinking amid the scandal as she shares her sympathy for Brad’s devastated wife Kylie.

She admitted she wasn’t a fan of the mother-of-four throughout the series, but now feels like a ‘total bitch’ for prejudging her without knowing the full story.

‘If there’s one thing I’ve learned about relationships, it’s that no one really knows what’s going on except the people involved,’ she shared in a candid Instagram post.

‘I’ve hated this poor woman for weeks now and wonder how her husband can stand her.

‘I feel like such a bitch now. Poor woman. I hope they find peace and happiness with their babies.’

Despite the drama that has left their marriage ‘in shambles’, Daily Mail Australia understands Brad and Kylie are still together and working on their relationship.

‘Kylie and Brad have been working on their marriage for months,’ a TV insider said.

‘The block shoot shattered their relationship and they were preparing themselves for Australia to see what everyone was whispering about.’

A friend of Kylie’s continued: “A lot of water has flown under the bridge and Kylie has chosen to stand by her man.”

Mimi and Kristian, who are still together, hinted that Kylie and Brad were working on something when they broke their silence on Channel Nine’s Upfronts on Thursday.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the newlyweds insisted there was no tension between them and Kylie and Brad, adding that they had seen the couple a week ago and had dropped hints about their relationship status.

She also claimed that Brad “complained” about her during the conversation and that this had “happened before.”

Kylie left the show immediately, with host Scott announcing she was leaving the construction site the next morning and has not been seen since.

Kylie left her vehicle at 2.34pm that day, taking only her bag, and Brad speculated that Kylie had returned to Cairns to be with her children.

A message recorded on Kylie’s phone, provided by Block, appeared to support her theory as she admitted that her marriage was ‘broken’.

‘Okay then I say goodbye. I can’t go on national television while my marriage is falling apart. “So I’m going home and I can’t say I’ll be back,” she announced through tears in her message.
