A man has been found guilty of murdering another man who was stabbed to death at a house party.

Lazarus Mokono, 26, was fatally injured during a meeting at a property on Co-operative Street in Barnsley on February 21.

Emergency services tried to save Mr. Mokono, nicknamed ‘Laz’, who was called to his home in the early hours of the morning, but he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Sipho Pfukani, 28, of Oldham House Lane, Wombwell, denied murdering Mr Mokono but was found guilty by a jury after a two-week trial at Sheffield Crown Court.
