Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafikur Rahman said that Awami League, as a political party, does not have the ethical foundations to do politics in Bangladesh because it does not have the image to seek votes from the people after fighting against the nation.

The Jamaat emir said this at a discussion and doa mahfil organized by the Jamaat’s Dhaka City South unit at the capital’s Institution of Engineers to mark the AL crackdown on the Jamaat in the 2006 protests.

“AL had turned the country into hell. In 1996, they apologized for their past behavior and asked the people to give them another chance to serve the country. The people gave them this chance, but AL misused it and killed many people during their tenure. Conditions,” Jamaat said. Emir.

“It is surprising that the ruling president of a state says that he will kill 10 people if one of his party members is killed. How can they do politics in this country again? They do not have the image to ask for votes. They do not do it. They have no ethical justification,” he added.

Stating that good people do not run away, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that Sheikh Hasina and her party members received their dues on August 5.

Emir said, “He would even prefer death for them rather than escape. Escaping does not suit a politician. Only murderers, looters and bad people escape.”

Stating that the interim government will probably not be able to initiate all the cases, the Community Emir said that they will at least have to start the litigation process.

“And the trials should start from October 28, when AL men killed innocent people,” he added.

During the discussion, the emir mentioned the fake cases the AL government was involved in during its tenure.

“Our people were punished with accusations without any evidence. On the contrary, AL men created a rape culture in the country. Our girls were handed over to animals in our educational institutions. They will have to collect their dues.” Community Emir said.

Regarding enforced disappearances, the emir said that Sheikh Hasina encouraged this inhumane crime.

“They had set up Aynaghars all over the country. I was also kept in one such place. But at least I was brought to court before going there. Many people were not given such a chance. Only God knows how many Aynaghars they employed in their time,” Shafiqur Rahman added. .

Warning to the political parties in the country, the Emir of the Community said that everyone should engage in politics by taking into account the wishes of the anti-fascist people.

“We all need to be careful. We cannot tolerate any division in our country. We need to be united on fundamental issues. There is no place for fascism in this country.”

Asking for the support of the people, the community emir said that if they came to power, they would serve the people instead of confiscating the looted items.

Emir said, “We will protect life, property and honor. We want a humane Bangladesh without discrimination and corruption.” he added.
