Four months after Ekta Gupta’s death, CCTV footage of the place where she was last seen was found. In the footage, Ekta Gupta is seen talking to the alleged killer, gym trainer Vimal Soni.

In the video, the victim can be seen entering in sportswear, carrying a gym bag and holding his mobile phone. He appeared to be arguing with the gym trainer, and then the trainer killed him. It was revealed in the footage that Ekta Gupta was in the gym before the murder.

She was the wife of a businessman in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Gym coach Vimal Soni, who was arrested for allegedly killing her, gave the exact location of where he buried her body. Police said the accused coach buried the body near the District Magistrate’s house.

DCP East, Shravan Kumar Singh, said: “The incident took place on June 24. The victim was going to the accused’s gym to train… The victim was unhappy about something in particular and had a heated argument with the accused, after which the accused killed him and buried him here.. “He dug a hole here and buried his body… He tried to mislead the incident, but when we questioned him closely, he revealed the truth.”

Police started searching for the gym trainer but there was information about Soni’s whereabouts for the last four months. However, after an intense search, they found him in the city.

Her husband Rahul Gupta approached the police on the suspicion that Soni might have kidnapped Ekta by giving her intoxicants mixed in her protein shake. Police later scoured CCTV cameras at train stations, bus stops and hotels in June.

It is claimed that Ekta and Soni were on good terms, but the woman was upset when she learned about Vimal’s engagement. Allegedly, while the two were arguing in his car, the man struck her in the neck, killing her.
