It’s the first anniversary of Matthew Perry’s death. Paying tribute to the late Friends star, it is very important to know what kind of mark he wants to leave in this world, based on his words in 2022.

In an interview that took place a year before his death, the Fools Rush In actor engaged in an inspiring and engaging conversation with the host of the Q with Tom Power podcast.

While the star appeared on the podcast to promote her memoir Friends, Lovers and the Big Scary Thing, she was asked what kind of legacy she wants to leave behind when she passes away.

“I would like to be remembered as someone who lived well, loved well and was a seeker,” Matthew Perry said.

During the conversation, which took place at the Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema in Toronto at the time, the 17 Again star even stated that he wanted to be remembered as someone who helped people.

In fact, while talking to Tom Power, Perry said, “an alcoholic or a drug addict would come up to me and say, ‘Can you help me?’ “I want to say yes and offer to help him,” he added.

According to reports, Perry was found dead in a Los Angeles-area home on October 28, 2023. While the actor was in the jacuzzi at his home, first responders were called to the scene for a heart attack.

According to reports at the time, no medicine was found. However, it was later revealed that the actor had a disturbing amount of ketamine in his system.

Following this, many were detained during the investigations.
