Actor Vijay delivered a highly charged, well-prepared political speech on Sunday, clearly highlighting two political enemies: the DMK and multiple political forces bent on exploiting the religious and caste fissures in society.

He made an open attack on the DMK in Tamil Nadu’s Vikkravandi, taking a clear shot against “corrupt” politicians and those indulging in divisive politics. “Developing anti-people policies as the Dravida Model and fooling people with it is a group of dynastic politics pursuing personal interests,” Vijay roared to a packed crowd of his fans and political contacts.

Vijay’s attack on the DMK had a very nuanced understanding of the existing dynamic. The DMK and its core poll strategy was to warn voters against the ills of the ‘fascist BJP’ and that is exactly what Vijay stated. “What fascism? So what you are making is Payasam (Tamil sweet dish)?”

Paradoxically, Vijay’s political ideologies largely mirrored those of the DMK: ‘secularism, social justice, women’s rights and more.

Interestingly, he espouses Periyar without denying the principles of God, avoiding showing any inclination towards criticizing religious beliefs and beliefs.

Among its political principles, it is noteworthy that proportional representation, women’s rights, protection of women and children, education, health and drinking water are among the fundamental rights.

Vijay also made an election-important statement that he is open to alliances. “Won’t we join forces with those who, like us, want to travel with us?” He made another statement that he was open to sharing power with alliance partners, which was a difficult issue for partners in previous alliances.

In the end, Vijay said, “We will win with a single majority,” prompting loud ‘Thalapathy’ calls from his followers.

As a politician and president of political party Thamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam, Vijay signaled that the battle lines are being drawn with his first power-packed speech.

Tamil Nadu’s political scenario has never looked as fragmented as it is now. DMK and its multi-party alliance including communists and Thol. Thirumavalavan’s VCK stands to one side. In the other corner is Edappadi Palaniswami’s ADMK, which is a mighty giant even though it is currently dormant. In another corner, the BJP looks a little dull with its fiery leader K Annamalai missing from action. A few small organizations are monitoring developments; These are the primary targets for which the major parties will step in if public sentiment seems uncertain. After all, when in doubt, vote bank arithmetic never fails.

Some parties may think it is too early to talk alliance, but with the rapid emergence of Vijay, some negotiations may have already begun in dark political corners.
