Family-run Wolverhampton restaurant continues to impress critics to win latest prestigious award

Bilash in Wolverhampton received the Hardens certificate of merit; This means that for the 23rd year it will be included in one of four industry-recognised guides worldwide, alongside the Michelin Guide, AA Guide and Which Good Food Guide.

Mo Khan, the owner of the restaurant, stated that Harden’s Guide is one of the four awards for which restaurants do not pay, and explained the process the restaurant went through.

He said: “You are inspected by food inspectors, they come and pay you and after you pay for the meal they show you their ID.

“Then they’ll want to talk to the head chef, and they’ll have done their homework beforehand, and they’ll know who the chef is, who the server is, who the front of house is, and then they’ll come into the kitchen. “We want to see how we produce our food and how it’s kept fresh.
