A care center has opened a new break area at a nearby hospital that it says could reduce bed pressure.

Bradbury Care Center in Whitchurch, Shropshire, is a day center for older people, mostly with Alzheimer’s and dementia-related diseases. It has transformed a space that can now cater to people staying overnight and for longer periods of time.

Center manager Mandy Silvester said each of the four rooms had an en suite bathroom and access to the garden.

He hoped that allowing center users to stay there instead of going elsewhere to rest would be better for the users and their families. The beds will also be made available to neighboring Whitchurch Community Hospital.
