Police said they were monitoring gang activity in Lower Hutt in anticipation of the funeral tomorrow morning.

Businesses on Randwick Road in Moera reported a significant gang presence.

A worker told RNZ the gang blocked off a small street, but police claimed no streets were blocked.

They said there would be a visible police presence tonight and tomorrow as the funeral procession makes its way to Whenua Title Cemetery in Porirua.

Police said traffic was likely to be disrupted in Moera tomorrow morning and Porirua in the afternoon.
