A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of another man in Geelong in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Homicide detectives arrested the man, from Colac in Victoria’s south-west, after he attended a police station this morning.

On Sunday, a 20-year-old Corio man died in hospital after he was allegedly stabbed during an argument on Geelong’s Little Malop Street at about 5.30am.

Police said two other Colac men, aged 23 and 26, were admitted to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries yesterday morning and will be interviewed at a later date.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.
