ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – A woman has been arrested following a fatal shooting that occurred in the 1400 block of Guildhall Ave NW on Sunday, October 27th.

Roanoke Police responded at 1:14 a.m. to reports of a domestic assault in progress. According to Roanoke Police, while officers were en route, the call turned into a gunshot wound.

According to police, a man was pronounced dead upon arrival at the scene.

Police said the suspect ran away but was caught and arrested.

The suspect, Elexus Allen, has been charged with second-degree murder and is being held without bail at the Roanoke City Adult Detention Center.
