MIAMI (WSVN) – A northbound crash on Interstate 95 is causing heavy congestion and traffic delays in the north and southbound lanes.

The crash occurred in the northbound express lane near Northwest 95th Street and appeared to involve a tractor-trailer that went out of control and crashed into a barrier.

Two ambulances were seen at the scene of the crash, but it is unclear whether anyone was injured or taken to hospital.

Currently cars are being forced from the express lanes onto the main lines.

This is causing heavy delays northbound, extending as far as Northwest 54th Street.

The southbound side of the left express lanes were also blocked.

A vehicle affected by flying debris from the crash was also blocking the center lane of the main line, but this has since been moved to the left shoulder.

Drivers are advised to avoid Interstate 95 and seek an alternative route.
