Watch how the Kalamazoo crowd reacted to some of Michelle Obama’s punch lines

KALAMAZOO, MI –– Former First Lady Michelle Obama is disappointed.

In a rare appearance on the campaign trail on Saturday, Oct. 26, Obama gave an impassioned 40-minute speech in Kalamazoo comparing Donald Trump’s character to Kamala Harris.

“I hope you’ll forgive me if I’m a little disappointed that some of us have chosen to ignore Donald Trump’s gross incompetence while asking Kamala to dazzle us at every opportunity,” Obama said. “I hope you will forgive me if I am a little angry at our indifference to his erratic behavior. Obvious mental decline. His history as a convicted criminal, a known slum owner, a predator found responsible for sexual abuse.”

Obama ostensibly said Trump was given permission, but Harris was chosen to do interviews that Trump did not dare to do.

Obama was welcomed onstage at the Wings Events Center just before 5 p.m. on Saturday. The excited crowd, some of whom had been waiting in line since 8 a.m., roared for more than a minute before he began his speech.

“Hello Kalamazoo!” Obama started. “Or should I say Kamala-zoo?”

This sent the crowd of thousands into another cheering mayhem.

The video below shows that moment and other highlights from Obama’s speech and how the Kalamazoo crowd reacted.

Obama touched on Harris’ views on reproductive rights and told the crowd that Trump wasn’t out for their well-being.

“If you’re not famous, if you don’t agree with Trump, or if Trump doesn’t see you as his equal, he’s not going to think about you when he goes into the Oval Office,” Obama said.

“He will usher in a new generation of American leadership and send the ugliness and politics of Donald Trump back to the past where it belongs,” Obama said.
