A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured in a road accident in West Yorkshire.

West Yorkshire Police said the teenager was hit by a car while crossing the road in Raw Lane, Illingworth, on Friday night.

Police said the vehicle turned left from Keighley Road onto Raw Lane at approximately 19:15 BST, when the child suffered multiple injuries, including a broken arm.

Police said the car, possibly a black Range Rover, did not stop at the scene and they are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has video footage of the vehicle involved to contact police.
