Playboy model and Bachelor World alum Veronika Murashkina died after an unidentified lung disease. The 31-year-old man was awaiting an organ transplant after a horrific car accident that turned his world upside down. His death became official on October 8.

According to Daily MailHe had to spend the last four years bedridden and reportedly passed away shortly before his scheduled surgery date. The now-fatal accident occurred after a drunk driver hit him and his group of friends. The crash in 2020 crushed Murashkina’s leg, forcing her to stand on her feet. A weakened immune system and a “life-threatening lung disease” would follow, sadly leading to his death.

“After a serious accident, his leg literally came back together piece by piece. She received treatment for a long time, stayed in clinics and recovered,” a friend of the glamorous model told local media (h/t The Sun). “It seemed like his problems were finally in the past, but then a new problem came when lung disease hit him. Veronika was on the waiting list for a transplant but did not live to see it. This brilliant person passed away tonight.”

Murashkina first rose to fame in 2017 on the fifth season of the Russian version of The Bachelor. It also appeared in the first issue of Playboy the same year. Since the accident, she had abandoned her modeling career and spent time doing arts and crafts.
