Authorities in Oregon are searching for a suspicious man child sexual abuser Person who evaded capture in Idaho and potentially dressed as a woman.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon announced Saturday that Christian Bert Fischer, 42, was wanted for using a computer to lure a child and then traveling to Florida to meet a minor.

Authorities say Fischer Ties with Southern Oregon and is on the run after evading capture by police in Coeur D’alene on Tuesday, October 22.

On the second day of Fischer’s trial in Florida’s Hernando County, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) said he failed to appear in court and promptly fled the state the same day.

Investigators learned he fled to California, Oregon and eventually northern Idaho. Authorities say Fischer using “fictitious name(s)” and he probably used cash and had his associates pay some expenses while he was on the run.

In northern Idaho, the USMS Greater Idaho Fugitive task force learned that Fischer had attempted to befriend multiple families in the area, including those with children.

Before the task force’s attempt to arrest Fischer, Fischer was seen carving a pumpkin with an unknown family in his last known location, Athol, Idaho.

Investigators have not yet identified the family and are urging the family or anyone who interacted with Fischer to contact their local USMS office.

Deputies described Fischer as a white male, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, with blond hair and blue-tinted eyes.

Before heading to Idaho, police said Fischer was in the Portland area. Other known locations were Ashland, Lake of the Woods, and Wolf Creek in June and July.

USMS task forces across the country, including the local Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force, also joined the search for Fischer.

Hernando County Crime Stoppers in Florida is also offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to Fischer’s arrest.
