LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Two people are dead and one is in the hospital after a crash in Adair County on Friday.

Kentucky State Police said the crash happened on KY 55 around 2:30 p.m. The initial investigation showed that 74-year-old Linda Young of Jamestown was traveling southbound when she crossed the center line and struck an oncoming car.

Young and his passenger, 45-year-old Chris Young, died at the scene. The driver of the other car was taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital with serious injuries.

KSP is investigating.
