The meeting of the support team to assist the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) executive was held today (October 26) at the BGMEA Office in Ashulia in the capital.

All 10 members of the support committee attended the meeting, which was chaired by BGMEA Director and Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Deputy Chairman Md Anwar Hossain.

Speaking at the meeting, Anwar said that the main purpose of this committee is to prepare a fair voter list and then conduct the BGMEA election as soon as possible.

He also asked for everyone’s total cooperation on this issue.

At the meeting, the issues of preparing a fair voter list were discussed in detail and it was decided that all relevant parties would work together on this issue.

It was also emphasized at the meeting that the routine operations of the association such as arbitration, UD, UP, NBR, banking, customs and labor activities will continue as usual.

At the beginning of the meeting, the BGMEA executive and committee members observed a minute of silence in memory of those who were martyred in the mass uprising in July-August.
