TNA Wrestling’s biggest event takes place on Saturday when Bound For Glory takes place at Wayne State Fieldhouse in Detroit, MI.

While the company is promoting the card as a triple main event, the match everyone is talking about is Nic Nemeth defending the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against the #1 contender. Joe Henry.

To the surprise of wrestling fans, it was Nemeth, not Hendry, who won the six-pack at Slammiversary to win the title for the first time. Longing for a one-on-one match for the gold medal, Hendry became the official #1 contender by defeating Frankie Kazarian on the September 26 episode of TNA Wrestling.

Hendry rose to the brink of superstardom when his hit song “I Believe In Joe Hendry” went viral. The song topped the charts in the United Kingdom and peaked at number 17 in the United States. Hendry’s stock skyrocketed when he made his WWE debut on the June 18 NXT. It has become the most watched video of 2024 as it currently has over 18.6 million views.

Hendry continued to main event WWE PLE in September at No Mercy when he faced Ethan Page for the NXT Heavyweight Championship. He was unsuccessful, but the match only grew his profile and made him TNA’s biggest attraction and one of the best names in the business.

The other two main events on the show feature Jordynne Grace putting her Knockouts title on the line against Masha Slamovich, while The System puts the Tag Team Championships on the line against ABC and The Hardys in a three-way Full Mayhem match.
