Three people accused of burglarizing property in Farmington are taking the matter to court.

Melissa Pagel, 44, of Farmington, became the latest person to plead not guilty Friday morning in Whitman County Superior Court. He was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

Court documents show Gary French, 62, and Eric Harris, 55, both of Spokane, were arraigned in superior court on Oct. 18. Both pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree burglary.

According to court documents, on Oct. 15, Whitman County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a property on Garfield-Farmington Road after a woman and two men were allegedly seen trespassing on security cameras.

The three reportedly got into a vehicle and drove to a second property owned by the same owner on Heise Road. Court documents show law enforcement stopped the vehicle and arrested the individuals.
