CINCINNATI — More than 10 million people watched a video showing local football players surprising their favorite teachers or staff members with their jerseys before senior night.

Taft High School athletic director Austin Gullett posted a two-minute video on TikTok showing the team’s senior football players each choosing a staff member to honor and wear their jersey in the final game of the season.

“From security to teacher to administrators, no matter what title you hold, you never know who you might impact,” Gullett said in the caption. “Every day we come to work is an opportunity to make an impact, and these staff have changed these young men’s lives for the better!”

Each staff member has their own unique reactions, from jumping up and down to hugging or punching a student.

The video went viral on TikTok, garnering 10 million views and nearly 2 million likes.

“I literally cringe before work,” one commenter said. “That was beautiful.”

The post also reached brand accounts such as Barbie and NFL.

“I’m crying ,” commented the NFL’s TikTok page.

Taft won the Senior Night game, defeating Woodward 57-0. I hope we see an updated video of our staff cheering on the kids.
