California defeated Hallsville on Friday, scoring in the final seconds of regulation to secure the win.

In the first, California’s defense came up big when Pintos stopped Hallsville at the goal line before passing 99 yards for a California touchdown. With this score, Pintos gained a 7-point difference.

But Hallsville fought back. Indians’ Wyatt Morris cut through traffic to cash in on a touchdown, cutting Hallsville’s deficit to 7-6.

The back-and-forth rivalry came down to the wire. Everyone was tied at 36 points with less than a minute left when California’s Brooks Volkart broke free to score the game-winning goal. Pintos defeated Hallsville 42-36.
