Arriving a little later than usual, Halloween celebrations promise some interesting surprises across the solar system, from new masks to a slight reshuffling of the event from previous years. If you’re wondering what the armor decorations look like, developer Bungie shared details about them too.

Here’s everything you can expect from Festival of the Lost 2024 in Destiny 2, including start times, masks, and available rewards. However, we cannot guarantee that you will be safe from jump scares.

Festival of the Lost 2024 start date

Lost Festival 2024 begins following the weekly Destiny 2 reset on October 29 at 10am PT / 1pm ET. The event will end with the weekly reset on November 12.

It’s a little later compared to last year’s edition, which started on October 17, but the scary vibes are the same.

How to start Festival of the Lost 2024?

Eva Levante will return to the Festival of the Lost. As in previous years, you will encounter him in the Tower. After a quick introductory mission and some candy distribution, you’ll be ready to win prizes and wear awesome masks.

Do you still need Ghost Pages in the Festival of the Lost?

If you were used to it Agriculture Spectral PagesIt is now a thing of the past. Bungie has announced that players no longer need to collect items to complete chapters of the Book of the Forgotten. You only need Showing Pages.

Bungie said that in addition to chests in Cursed Sectors, Manifested Pages will also “drop from many different sources while wearing a mask.” We’ll have to wait for the event to begin to confirm what the developer is referring to, but it’s safe to assume it could be related to other activities outside of Haunted Sectors that could come in handy.

Festival of the Lost 2024 mask list

It looks like the celebrations surrounding the release of Destiny 2 The Final Shape are still ongoing, as this year’s Lost Festival is introducing seven new masks. Bungie also stated that masks found in Haunted Sectors will roll with higher stats, while those from Expert Haunted Sectors will have both higher stats and “spiky rolls”.

What else is new at the Festival of the Lost 2024?

Aside from the removal of Ghost Pages, there are a few tweaks and additions to consider before diving into Festival of the Lost 2024.

As in previous years, Haunted Sectors are your best bet for earning Spooky Engrams. Note that you can get more Spooky Engrams in Specialized Haunted Sectors because they know they have a chance to drop an additional engram.

In the weapons department, you can expect a familiar lineup of Festival of the Lost weapons, only with updated skill pools. Bungie doesn’t want to share too many details other than a few perk combinations for teaser purposes:

• Mechabre (Aggressive Arc Sniper Rifle): Lone Wolf in column 3, Closing Time in column 4, and Search Party as the starting feature.
• Jurassic Green (Rapid Fire Solar Strike): Field Tested as Loose Change in the 3rd column, Incandescent, Search Party, Origin features in the 4th column.
• Braytech Werewolf (Precision Kinetic Automatic Rifle): Rewind Rounds in column 3, Attack in column 4, and Search Party as the starting feature.
• Acosmic (Rapid Fire Void Grenade Launcher): Withering Gaze in column 3, Bait and Switch in column 4, and Search Party, Nadie, as origin traits.

You’ll also now be able to purchase an Exotic class item directly from Eva, eliminating the need to complete the Dual Destiny quest in Destiny 2. You’ll need to have The Final Shape expansion for this, but you’ll need to know you’ve won. You cannot adapt to the classroom items you received from Eva. Unless you complete Dual Destiny you only get random dice. But luck may be on your side.

Your candy collecting efforts won’t be in vain as there will be plenty of rewards to be won during Destiny 2’s Halloween event.

All Festival of the Lost 2024 awards are below:

• Wizard Armor Ornaments for a scary vibe.
• return Super black shader.
• As a new weapon, Arcane Embrace: The shotgun has the Arc element and the Heavy Burst subtype, so it fires a hard-hitting, two-round burst while also slightly reducing evasion of incoming fire when aiming. As Bungie teased, a potential combination for the weapon is Fourth Time Spell in column 3, Precision Instrument in column 4, and Search Party in the origin feature.
• The Lost Souvenir also returns as a reward, and you’ll be able to hold up to three at a time. You can earn this by completing Twilight Triumph or as a random drop by focusing on any item.
• You can also earn the new Spectral Carapace emblem by completing Twilight Victory.
