Fundraiser launched for ‘little child left behind’ after woman stabbed to death at Bescot Stadium Station

“We thank you for all the love and support we have received as a family, we will now grieve together as Rhiannon would have wanted.”

The online fundraiser, set up on Thursday, had raised £565 of its £5,000 target, with 27 people donating by Friday morning.

“You were the most selfless person, brave, interesting, funny and always there for anyone in need. There isn’t enough paper in the world to even write a tribute for you, but no one deserves it more.

“The strange thing about this devastating loss is that we now have to get on with our lives without you, but how? If your short life has taught you anything, it is to appreciate every moment with your loved ones because there is no guarantee of tomorrow.

“You are very strong, you are a fighter, and no matter what happens, we as a family will always be by your side. We will love and miss you for now and forever.”

Police at Bescot Stadium Station on Monday

Deng Cholmajek, 18, of no fixed address, was charged with murder.

He appeared before Walsall Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday and was remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on November 19.
