Trump includes Madison Square Garden in blue state campaign and unveils new family-friendly tax cut

Rising in the polls and exuding confidence, Republican Donald Trump packed New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden with cheering MAGA supporters Sunday night in a historic effort to compete in blue districts and take control of the White House and Congress in just 10 days.

“I’m excited to come back to the city I love,” the 45th president, a lifelong New Yorker, told a raucous crowd greeted by an All-Star lineup that ranged from wrestler Hulk Hogan to Elon Musk to J.D. Vance. To Vivek Ramaswamy.

Channeling Ronald Reagan’s famous question from 1980 and hoping to repeat the 40th president’s historic sweep in 1984, Trump asked the crowd the question he hoped would decide the fate of the election.

“I want to start by asking a very simple question: Are you better off than you were four years ago?” he asked as the crowd roared “no.”

“I am here today to give a message of hope to all Americans,” he added. “I will put an end to inflation with your vote in this election. I will stop the invasion of criminals coming to our country. And I will bring back the American dream.”

Trump also announced a brand new policy, saying he would seek a new tax credit for family members who care for loved ones.

“We are going to make America affordable again,” he said.

“Today, I’m announcing a new policy that says I will support a tax credit for family caregivers who care for a parent or loved one. “It’s time for them to be recognized,” he added.

The crowd was going wild even before Trump came on stage. As Hogan ripped off his shirt during his warm-up speech and took up Democrats’ claim that Donald Trump was a fascist dictator, thousands of people unable to enter the Garden filled the streets around him.

“I don’t see a smelly Nazi here. I don’t see a smelly domestic terrorist here. All I see here is a bunch of hard-working men and women who are real Americans, brother,” Hogan said.

Our billionaire friend Musk, who has promised to work with the Trump administration to reshape the government, said voting the GOP ticket would yield a clear result.

“We will take the government off your back and out of your pocket,” Musk said.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night is former First Lady Melania. Trump took part in the campaign’s backdrop to commemorate New York’s reputation as the “industrial capital” of the world.
