Seneca Falls apartment building damaged after fire, no injuries reported from residents

On Sunday afternoon, first responders were dispatched to a fire at an apartment on Bayard Street in the old village. Little did first responders know that this would be one of three incidents they would deal with that day.

Around 1:20 p.m., Seneca Falls police responded to Seneca County 911 at 161 West Bayard St. He reported that he received a call reporting a fire at Park Place Apartments located at .

Seneca Falls Fire Department, Waterloo Fire Department, Geneva Fire Department and North Seneca Ambulance quickly arrived on scene.

First responders saw smoke and flames coming from the front window of the building. Fortunately, all residents of the affected apartment were evacuated safely. Fire crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire and we are pleased to report there were no injuries to residents or responders.

The investigation is currently active.
