Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has blamed poor refereeing for Kano Pillars’ defeat to Nasarawa United on Sunday.

In the match, Sai Masu Gıda lost 1-0 to the home team.

Anas Yusuf scored the winning goal for Nasarawa United in the match.

Yusuf has scored nine goals for Solid Miners this season.

The Super Eagles captain stated that poor management has negatively affected the credibility of the league.

“I have been praising the referees and the progress in the league so far, but the performance of the referees on this matchday 9 has made me wonder whether returning to the NPFL was the right choice,” Musa said.

“For the league to improve, we need to address the quality of the referees. Officials should not be allowed to reduce the morale and efforts of the players.

“If I continue to witness such missions, I cannot encourage anyone to return to NPFL. If this continues, our efforts will be in vain.”
