LAWTON, Oklahoma (KSWO) – Happy Sunday evening, Texoma! A warm night is expected across the region, with temperatures dropping to around 63 degrees; Much better than last night when we dropped into the 40s! As we move towards tomorrow, skies will be clear to partly cloudy throughout the night. It looks like it will get up to 91 degrees tomorrow, which will break the record.

Near-critical fire weather is expected tomorrow. Winds will be out of the south at 15-25 mph, gusts to 40 in the afternoon. Relative humidity values ​​will drop to around 25 percent, resulting in very dry conditions throughout Texoma. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for many counties throughout Texoma.

Tuesday looks set to experience similar but slightly improved fire weather conditions, mainly attributed to greater moisture returning to the region. Relative humidity values ​​have improved considerably since Monday and are around 45-50 percent. But winds will likely be around 45 mph on Tuesday, possibly even higher.
