Woman was accused of murder A mother, father and their ten-year-old child have been charged in connection with their deaths. The wreck left the couple’s two-year-old son, who was in the vehicle at the time, without his family.

CBS12 News previously reported on the fatal crash that killed Dawn Howard, 54, Grechy Almaguer-Perez, 43, Alejandro Felipe Cordoves Rodriguez, 46, and their 10-year-old son, leaving their 2-year-old child parentless. or a brother.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) crash report stated that Dawn Howard was driving her 2020 Lexus RX350 at a high rate of speed on South Military Road as she approached the intersection at Miner Road on July 10.

Authorities say Howard, 54, accelerated to run a yellow light, then collided with a Volkswagen carrying the family of four.

The crash reportedly caused Howard’s vehicle to roll over before coming to rest on grass and dirt.

PBSO said Howard suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to Delray Medical Center.

The arrest affidavit states that at 7:49 p.m., deputies from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) went to check on Howard at Delray Beach Medical Center because he was a suspect in the crash.

Howard got up from his bed and asked to use the bedroom. Howard’s arrest affidavit states that he was told by deputies that he had to stay in Room 12 because he was the subject of a criminal investigation due to the accident. The MP tried to explain to Howard that if he needed to use the restroom, a female MP should go with him, the report continues.

The arrest report states Howard refused to comply and tried to get around the deputy. That’s when he hit his wrist with his open palm.

The PBSO deputy at the hospital reported that Howard’s eyes were watery and bloodshot while he was “slurring his speech”, he smelled strongly of alcohol, he was neglecting the reality and pain of his possible broken arm, and he called the nurses “b*****s”.

PBSO stated that they wanted to conduct an impairment assessment due to Howard’s erratic behavior.

A blood test performed by PBSO showed Howard’s alcohol level was significantly above the legal limit.

On July 10, Howard was arrested on charges of battery on a law enforcement officer.

Howard appeared in court Thursday morning, was given a $375,000 bond and is scheduled to return to court next month.
